This analysis compares the narrow, immediate reactions to environmentalism
against a vast, hopeful, and historically anchored perspective suitable for a
Homeschooling framework, drawing from the themes in
"Earthday Reconsidered" and "Second Earth Age".
1. The Short-Sighted Planetary View : "The Immediate Crisis"
This perspective focuses entirely on visible, tangible, and immediate material
concerns, often driven by cultural trends and media-driven anxiety.
The Immediate : Concerns are restricted to the visible decay of the present day ;
polluted waters, wasted forests, and disappearing fresh air. The response is
reactive, driven by sudden media waves and emotional slogans like "We have to
clean the Earth up" "recycle and stop wasting", or "just say no" to drugs, etc.
The External Fix : It treats environmental degradation as an external problem
solved purely through mechanical actions like recycling and reducing waste.
The Internal Blind Spot : This view completely ignores the "Landfill in the Mind".
It overlooks the deeper, internal pollutants that drive human behavior :
bitterness, anger, envy, fear, greed, and a relentless focus on self ("ME").
The Cultural Distraction : Humanity races faster while transfixed by
technological distractions ("high-tech fever", "TV's glowing spell", video games,
and computer programs). People become disconnected from one another,
rendered "blind" by the screens and media boxes pursued in their daily lives.
2. The Educational Limitation: The Boundary of Pure Science
Within a modern educational context, a purely materialistic or scientific
framework offers a rigid, limiting view of the planet's existence and purpose.
The Accidental Origin : Conventional secular frameworks reduce the majesty of the
universe to a "Big-Bang theory" or an "Accidental Spark".
The Absence of Purpose : By teaching that life arose without intent, this
doctrine forces a conclusion of cosmic insignificance : that humanity has no
greater purpose than to "just live, and finally die".
The Moral Vacuum: Disconnected from a foundational Creator, this perspective
offers no objective moral compass. Since Public schools adopt this doctrine, it strips
away any view of eternity, leaving a vacuum where societal standards disintegrate
into moral confusion, defiance, and conflict ("we fought the man next door").
3. The Grand Narrative: A Hopeful, Homeschooling Perspective
A comprehensive homeschooling approach elevates the discussion from simple
ecology to a grand, purposeful narrative spanning from before creation to
ultimate renewal.
[ Before Time Began ] ~1st Heaven Age ~ Creation sings in perfect harmony.
[ The Material Present ] ~ 2nd Earth Age ~ Humanity stumbles in blind pursuit of
self interest and material fixes (Lucifer's Song).
[ Lessons Learned Age] ~ The Millenium {Day of The Lord}; Heart and Mind Sifting
for Eternal compatibility.
[ FINAL Testing ] ~ 3rd Earth Age ~ Humanity decides where to spend eternity.
[ Ultimate Renewal ] ~ New Earth Age ~ Creation restarted; singing praises to The
Son for His Sacrificial Leadership in Overcoming Sin and Death and His Creating
a New Heaven and Earth. NOW Darkness,Sin and Death are gone FOREVER.
4. An Intentional Creation: Education begins with the premise that the universe
is not an accident. Long before the earth was new, a deliberate Creator
transformed "darkest emptiness (Lucifer's Song) into countless galaxies".
Every individual life is a miracle designed to reflect our FATHER'S Happiness.
The Lesson of History: A true education teaches students to look past short-term
gain and recognize that a lifestyle centered entirely on consuming and taking is
a form of bondage ("slavery to sin"). Like the Tower of Babel, proud and
self-centered lifestyles eventually collapse, forcing people to see the
pointlessness of blind self-pursuit.
The Philosophy of Self-Giving: The antidote to both environmental and moral
decay is not found in an emotional media show, but in the profound principle of
self-giving. Students learn that true fulfillment comes from giving over taking.
The Ultimate Hope: The narrative does not end in climate catastrophe.
We finish with an unshakeable hope ~ that the Earth will ultimately be
renewed, and Creation will once again sing in perfect harmony.
